I have 3 Nest cams that are plugged in all of the time, but the Home app only shows them as plugged in about half the time. Plug jiggling hasn't helped, and it's not on any kind of schedule. As a result, they don't have the 24/7 video recording coverage I want. How can I fix this?

Hey Annyssa,
I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. When did it start happening? What's the status light of your camera? Also, were there changes made with the setup, settings, and/or app of the Nest camera? Keep us posted.
Thanks,
Archie

I'm not sure what you mean by status light. When the cameras are not showing as plugged in, they show 100% battery percentage.
I did have some trouble after first installing them, getting them to show as plugged in at all. I called and spoke to Google customer service and was told I would be sent to the next tier customer service and scheduled a time for the call. Mysteriously, that night the cameras started showing up as plugged in one by one.
I have not made any changes to the setup or settings in the app since putting the cameras up except to adjust the sensitivity settings on my floodlight camera.

Hi Annyssa,
Ah, got it. Thanks for giving us an update. I want to make sure you're all good — how's the status of your Nest Cameras?
Best,
JT

They're still doing the same thing. Three of my cameras are plugged in 24/7 but, according to the app, sometimes run off the batteries. I've tried jiggling cords to no avail. The on/off cycle isn't on a schedule that I can tell.
As an example, my front porch cam shows as plugged in right now and has video data for the last 15 minutes or so, but before that, there are only recorded events for today and last night, not the continuous footage that should show up with a powered camera. The last continuous footage for that camera was from yesterday afternoon.

Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear that and thanks for your efforts here. No worries, we'll check this out — a few questions: during setup did you install your cameras as battery or wired cameras? What are the status lights of the cameras? When did the issue start? Also, how far are your cameras from the router?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
JT
