Why does the Nest Outdoor cameras take extremely long to charge? The battery capacity is only 6000mAh and is charging using the original nest cable.
after 5 hours it is only just past 50%… and it’s telling me there’s another 6 hours to go till full?

Sounds like a possible fault with the cable if it's not being detected as compatible. I'd recommend that you contact the Google Nest support team. They'll be able to check on possible troubleshooting options and next steps.

I've seen posts from some customers that seem to indicate there are problems getting the USB plug seated snugly into the bottom of the camera, or even with the USB plug coming apart. You could try reseating your USB plug.
(We've had a battery camera for 19 months, plugged in all the time with the optional power cable, and have no issues. But the USB plugs do seem a bit flimsy.)

Hi Awff,
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To confirm, what troubleshooting steps have you taken? Try restarting your Nest Doorbell. In case you're still getting the same issue, try resetting it to the factory default. Remember that after the reset all of your recorded history will get deleted as well.
I appreciate the help, davidking and MplsCustomer.
Best,
Emerson
