I've bought a new Nest doorbell battery and set it up wireless. The video life video is very choppy en unusable. It stops after a few seconds and than goes offline. Strangely enough the video is recorded smoothly and is viewable in the history. I have also a nest hello wired and a new nest cam indoor/outdoor on battery power. They both have a smooth video, so that rules out wifi-problems.
I already have reset the doorbell a few times and added it again in the app. I even tried it in another home. Does anybody has a solution or the same experience? Or is this doorbell just faulty?
Thanks for reading.

I've got the same problem with my Nest Doorbel. Recordings and notifications all work fine, just the live video stutters and then goes offline after a few seconds. Both when the bell is rung and when I acces the live feed via the google home app.
Live video works fine on my girlfriends Iphone and our google hub. So i'm assuming the problem is in my phone (Oneplus 7T). Just wouldn't know how to fix it.

I have a oneplus 7 pro. Hard to believe that is a coincidence. I didn't suspect my phone because al the other nest cameras work fine.

Definitely hard to believe then yes. Also because I've read on another forum that someone had a similar problem with a ring doorbell and oneplus 8.

A google search brought me this reddit thread

The solution is to turn of the "vibrant colour effect" ...
I just returned the doorbell 😞

Hi Btad,
The workaround is working. I don't know if this is something that can be fixed by Google or should be fixed bij oneplus.
