The nest doorbell has been increasingly harder to get to latch to the mount. It was fine for over a year and then it wasn't. Contacting customer service was a joke. I was told I should try a wired, bring it in to be repaired somewhere, or buy a new one. Really? Very insulting after I asked how I can fix it as I am relatively handy and really don't need to spend money every 2 years on a new doorbell because the poorly designed button on the back will not pop back out to allow it to lock in place. Can I just get someone to acknowledge that the product has issues and how I can fix. Do I need a new spring? The rep said she wasn't on the engineering team but also could not do anything to put me in contact with them. A simple quick guide to disassembling and putting it back together with what to look for was all I needed. Nope, just buy a new one...

Hi RambleonRose,
Thank you for reaching out to the community. I apologize that you're experiencing trouble remounting your Nest Battery Doorbell. I appreciate the troubleshooting efforts you have already done. I understand how frustrating it must be, especially after contacting customer service without resolution. Let's work together to find a solution.
To assist you further, I need to ask a few questions:
Can you provide the case number from your previous support call?
When did the situation start?
What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
Please keep me posted. I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Byron

Hi Byron,
The case number is attached as a screenshot as it would not let me submit that number in this field. The case number is related to when
I reached out on March 10 through the chat support.
The issue with the doorbell started roughly 3 months ago but about a week ago was the first time it wouldn't latch at all. I have tried to push on the button on the back of the device as well as use the tool provided with the door bell and a very small screwdriver to push on the release latch on the top of the unit. I was unsuccessful. I also tried to loosen the mount itself to see if giving it some wiggle room would help but that did not work either.
Thank you for reaching out.
