Hello, I've had my nest doorbell for a while now and for some reason when someone rings the doorbell, the camera only captures a glimpse of the person before it says the doorbell went offline. Only happens when the doorbell is pressed.

This is a known defect with the 1st gen Google Nest Hello Doorbell. There is a small internal battery whose purpose is to provide power to the doorbell and its camera during the instant when the doorbell button is pressed and power is diverted to ring your indoor doorbell chime. When the battery fails, the doorbell goes offline for a minute whenever the doorbell button is pressed. The workaround is to turn off the "Indoor chime" option so that the doorbell no longer tries to ring the indoor doorbell chime, and so it does not lose power. It's now happened to all 3 of our Nest Hellos. Because our doorbells are all past the 1-year warranty, we have instead turned on the "Visitor announcements" option, so that we get an announcement and a doorbell sound on our Nest Hubs and Nest Minis. There's a locked thread on this forum that has over 1,000 replies on this issue.
