Nest doorbell face

If Nest is having a continual problem with the face of the doorbell cracking why would they not replace them regardless of the warranty expiring.  This is horrible advertisement for their product.  The first thing my guest see when they come to visit.  I'm regretting purchasing it now. It's a shame because I have the whole google home security system.

Is Google reconsidering replacement since this is definitely a defect?

@ElisaA

There are hundreds of posts in this forum about the Google Nest Hello Doorbell peeling (including one of ours), but Google Nest is not replacing them if they are past the 1-year warranty. But I hadn't heard that the new 2nd Gen Google Nest Doorbell was also peeling.
