Nest doorbell not chiming on Alexa

Hello, 

I have a Nest hello doorbell that is wired to a plug socket, I am trying to get it to chime on Alexa devices, i can see the video on my echo show 21 but when the button is pressed it only chimes on my phone. I have followed many fault finding videos and links but no joy.

i have reset all devices. I have un linked the skills and re connected. I have deleted both apps Google home and Alexa. I have re installed them and set up the devices as if new. I have announcements turned on, and home and away settings are off so constantly filming etc….

It really shouldn’t be this hard to make it go ding ding when I get a visitor! Surely a standard feature of having a door bell. Any ideas of what to try next? Before i get a new doorbell.

• Is the Google Home app and Alexa app up to date?
• Have you turned on the doorbell announcements in the Alexa app?
• Where are you located?

I have a Nest Hello, 

Bith the Google home app and Alexa app have been updated, I have also uninstalled and reinstalled them both.

The door bell announcements are switched on in the Alexa app, Google app and the Nest app.

I am located in the UK (Sussex) 

I have deleted the device and reinstalled, the doorbell shows up as a camera icon and not a doorbell icon.

Currently, the options for Nest Doorbell chime notifications on the Alexa app are only available for Nest Doorbell (2nd Gen) and Nest Doorbell (battery) in the U.S. only.
