Nest doorbell (wired) stopped working

Doorbell has stopped working. Blue light on bell comes on for a few seconds, then green light flashes and then both go off. No chime from bell and can’t reconnect on WiFi. WiFi working fine and has been working fine. Is only a couple of months old. Have switched power off and on but can’t seem to resolve. Any help appreciated.

Hi Brad

Thanks for coming back to me. Yes I still need some help.

I will try and outline the problem and what steps we have taken so far.

It’s a new Nest wired doorbell that was installed on a new build house back in June or July of this year.
We moved in during August, set up the app and the camera, notifications, etc were working, albeit the chime was not.
Now the camera has stopped working and is offline. The blue light comes on for a few seconds, then the little green light flashes and both go off. I can’t find it to reconnect it on my phone.

So far the people who installed it have been out to try and sort but they have failed.

They have checked it for power and there is power to both doorbell and chime.

An error came up in connecting it today (I think it was NC021). When we followed that through online it said it was a Bluetooth issue. However it’s a wired bell and when connecting previously we have not used Bluetooth and no mention of it on the set up in the app.

We have deleted the camera from the app on our phones and tried to reconnect but it is not finding the camera.

The installers have tried everything they could but just can’t see anything wrong with the wiring or the connections so we are at a loss.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Regards
Ken

Hey there again, I am sorry to hear that you are still having this issue. It almost sounds like the Nest Hello is not receiving enough power. Id suggest you look at the Power Requirements article and use a multimeter to test the power. If that isn't quite the issue that you are having, It could also be based on a poor wifi connection, so do you have a quick Mbps upload speed? And how far away is the Doorbell from your connection? Please let me know so we can move forward with the troubleshooting process.

Best Regards,

Brad.
