Nest doorbell

I have installed a new nest doorbell camera, wired, Gen 2. I used google home app for installation, but I am not able to add the camera to my nest app. I also do not receive any notifications if door bell is rang. How do I add it to my nest account so that video get recorded. Any advice is appreciated.

Sadly there is no way to add these new Gen 2 cams to the nest app.  Welcome to what many users on this forum have discovered over the last 2+ years.  Google is working on bring the functions from the nest app over to the Google Home app by they are not there yet.  I ended up returning my Gen 2 cams right after I purchased them for a refund and I purchased some used Gen 1 Nest cams from ebay sellers and I am very happy everything is working great.
