Nest hello gen 2 wired not sold in UK is telling

Unless I'm wrong, Nest Hello doorbell wired gen 2 is still not offered in the UK by UK sellers.  People living in the UK have to buy from U.S. sellers and forfeit their consumer protection? 

  My gen 1 failed after 3 years which is ridiculous. Imagine if Intels processors died after 3 years. Google is such a huge tech company I fail to see why U.S. support for this, or any product, ends after one year.

  Shame on Google and if you are in the UK don't forfiet your rights. Consider this, if it isn't offered it's probably garbage. 

  Now I see why canon, for example, will release one version of a printer in UK and another in the U.S. with a slightly different model number. I bet the U.S. model is "tuned down" because our government protects businesses not her citizens.

  I guess Google just opted to not even sell this product in the UK. That tells me a lot and should be a warning to UK citizens. "Don't buy"
