Nest migration to Home no camera preview in notification.

Title says it all mostly. On public preview. Home app notifies on all Gen2 and shows previews correctly in the dropdown notification bar. ALL migrated gen1 shows notification but 0 video preview. So have to click the notification to open it in the Home app. Worked fine with Gen1 in Nest app. Full notification and video preview.

Pixel 7 Pro is the phone im using, I don't think it matters 🙂

I would clear app cache, reinstall, etc on the Home app but I seriously doubt it's the issue. Probably a "switch" someone missed 😉

P.S. Whomever works with the web based Home Preview your awesome, just give me more features. Nothing better than being able to have a dual screen with all cams rolling. Also the Cast from PC to any TV is brilliant for the cam streaming.

@Deathzo

Did you leave feedback in the "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app, under Settings | Public Preview (under Nest services & support).

Yep, I did that first. The feedback option is more about happy faces then actual written feedback though.

@Deathzo

That's unfortunate that a beta release has no way to provide specific written feedback.

Hi folks,

@Deathzo, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. We know where you're coming from and this is not the experience we want you to have. I'd suggest you send yours with our Send Feedback form to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Let us know if you have additional concerns.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Regards,

Emerson
