Nest outdoor camera - My video history is deleted automatically at the end of the day.

Video history is deleted at the end of the day in my Nest Outdoor camera (battery). It used to keep videos up to 3 hrs before. I do not have Nest aware subscription.

 

As per Google web site : Nest cameras now record and store the last three hours of video and audio for playback via "sightline" in the nest app for free. Longer cloud recording and storage plans are available for puchase.

Hi -it hasn’t happened since that one time. As my husband was watching the video they all deleted. Maybe he did it by accident

I’m not clear on the question or concern? Isn’t end of day better than three hours?

Hi. We have the Nest aware plus subscription. While in the middle of reviewing video from the previous night, all the sudden the entire video history from just that one camera is deleted and now shows no history. All our other cameras have their history from past 30 days except this one (backyard). How can this happen and how do we retrieve it? Thanks

I would suggest that you restart that cam, and then check again to see if the footage is there. There is no way to retrieve footage if it has been deleted automatically. Also, is your Nest Aware subscription still active?

Hi Brad. Thanks for getting back to me. Yes we did restart that camera and it’s still gone. Our subscription is definitely still active as we can see the history from other cameras on our network. Is there any way someone who doesn’t have the app can delete the history somehow?
