Sorry, I don't have answers. I came to this thread today to post the same thing. I also don't get motion detection on 1 camera. I'm hoping someone can give answers.

Thanks at least I know I am not the only one 🙂

When you had them connected to an outlet, were you using one of the two optional power cables Google sells? Some customers report they cannot power their battery camera with the 1-meter charging cord that comes with the camera.
Is the power cable/charging cord plugged in tightly in the bottom of the camera and is the cord/cable feeding towards the FRONT of the camera? (Both are issues reported by other customers in this forum.)
(We've had a battery camera for 21 months, and the battery has always remained charged. Settings | Battery shows as "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol.)

Yes the power cords are from Google paid about 30.00 for ea. I still had to remove them and charge manually with nest cam charge cable I think they are bad cameras bought them as 2 pk would love for them to be replaced by Google but that's probably not going to happen

If your cords/cable are correctly feeding towards the FRONT of the camera and the USB plug is seated firmly and the outlet is continuously powered, you should see "Plugged in" with an infinity symbol when you go to Settings | Battery in the Google Home app, and your battery should always remain charged.
If that is not the case, try contacting Support:

Hello everyone,
@T65wright and @ HoustonRN, I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. No worries, we'll check this out. Have you tried doing a factory on Nest camera? Check out this link on how to restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.
@Spaghetti69 , glad to hear that it was resolved.
@MplsCustomer, thanks for the help.
Let me know if that helps.
Best,
Edmond

I've had some mine do this, think it took like 3 resets to get it to work again. If i remember right I charged for 30 min on the original cable\brick first.
