I have 2 Nest cams that I've had for a few years. For years it worked properly: when I left it said Away and turned on; when I returned it said Home and turned off. The app still reports Home and Away correctly, but this has no effect on whether the cams turn on or off. The only way to turn the cams on is to switch them manually; the only way to turn them off is to switch them manually. Home/away simply doesn't affect the cam, even though the app records my location correctly. How can I fix this?
Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To confirm, what are the troubleshooting steps you've done so far? Which Nest Camera do you have? Try turning off and on your Home and Away assist settings. Reinstall your app and let us know how it goes.
