Hey all,
I just got a two pack of Nest Cams and when I try setting them up they both get stuck at the very end when it’s downloading an update.
It just stops randomly at whatever percentage.
Ive done many factory and normal resets on the cameras.
I’ve created new homes in the google home app, rebooted my phone(iOS) and airplane mode.
I don’t have an android phone that is compatible with google Home…

I have exactly the same problem. I did a reset and it went from saying the download was 0% complete to saying it was 57% complete, but now stuck there.

Turns out you need to keep resetting via the reset button on the back of the camera each time the app says there's a problem. Eventually it'll complete the update and installation will complete.

How many times did you reset before it worked?
I tried resetting and factory resetting a handful of times and it always got stuck

I think I did two resets on each camera. Just the reset button for five seconds.

We’ll I’ve been doing resets on the camera and the phone app and it would get up to 80% or so and then go back to 0 again.
I’m just going to return this trash and find some other camera, shame Google destroyed the nest product like they did…

Hey there,
Thank you for bringing up the concern you're experiencing, I would love to look into this further for you. The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally.
Best regards,
Brad

I spent the entire week restarting, resetting, doing all the things.. no dice.
The cams just never got to 100% update, I returned them and will never be buying a google product again.
