New Nest Camera (Indoor, wired, Gen 2) - viewable on PC/laptop ??

So, I was surprised to see that this new camera does not show on the NEST APP (phone or PC), but rather can only be viewed via the Google Home App on my Pixel. I don't appreciate Google not making this clear prior to purchase... perhaps they should drop the NEST name !!

So - is there any way to view the video on my PC ?

Well, I can't say that I'm holding my breath - since we're now nearly halfway through '22, and I get the feeling that Google doesn't care about us  😞

Hi BLNT,  I'm an end user like you.  Sadly there is still no way to view the new cams on an PC.  When many of us loyal NEST followers purchased the new cams 9 months ago and learned about the major flaws (like this one) we returned them to Google for a refund and just purchased used Gen 1 cameras from eBay.  That is what I didn't and I'm very happy.  I most love the NEST App which is light years ahead of the Google Home app when it comes to security cams.

I also picked up a couple of two packs of their wired outdoor cameras. I was concerned that they'd fall into the same hole that the gen 2 indoor camera did - but fortunately they were REAL Nest cameras !

I am afraid I cannot provide an update on an ETA as we have not been provided with one from Google/Nest. I would suggest you look over this article as well as this article for more information.
