Just got this camera. It's right next to the Router plugged into the wall. Worked fine for 2 weeks, now its constantly going offline; and I cannot turn it on (for no apparent reason). Not sure what to do.

Same thing is happening to mine. I just got off the phone with support and they said it's a problem with the app and not the doorbell. They told me they are working on the issue and no estimate on time to resolution. I was hoping to find more info here online. This is a very frustrating issue.

Very frustrating...  I have 10 cameras and 2 went offline this morning.  Last Friday there was an outage for 3 hours, not again on Monday!!!  For me, my cam is showing "offline" on the app and live view is not working.  But behind the scene, it is recording and sending footage to google server.  I stood in front of the camera and checked the video history couple minutes later, the video was there. Definitely it is not my cam power issue, also it's not my wifi problem.  Extremely annoying!!! I am paid subscriber.

Yep, same here. My router is less than 3 feet away and the doorbell continues to record events without issue. If I reset the doorbell with a paperclip, I can get the feed back for about 5 minutes before it loses connection again. Also verified power is good there.

Same thing.... unplugged and got live view back for x minutes and went offline again!!!  You are not alone.

I’m in AZ and having the same problem as you. Thank you for posting so I know I’m not alone. I did all the steps you mentioned.

Update: My device did come back online, although not sure if it's fixed for good.

Mine seems to be back online as well. I completely understand that issues happen, but Google always shows everything as GREEN on the Nest status page, which is very misleading. This isn’t the first time either. It wastes customers’ time as they try to troubleshoot at home or post in the community. If the Nest status page showed accurate health information, it would save everyone a lot of frustration.

Not working for me. I transfer my doorbell from the Nest app. Then it goes offline when transfer has completed. It still records events like doorbell rings etc. it comes back for a minute or so if a doorbell is pressed or person is spotted then goes offline. Nothing wrong with my wifi and works ok in the Nest app.
I just renewed my annual Aware subscription so not happy.

I have two wired 2nd gen cams that stopped working Friday. Can't reconnect to them. They are online. Deleted them, restarted router and still can't connect as of today.

Here's what happened to me - hopefully this tale will prevent some frustration.  In the last few months my Nest Outdoor Cam started going offline.  I'd get alerts about it every time it would happen - it started infrequently but changed to multiple times a week.  A Google search took me to this form and found a list of steps to fix it - things like checking the wifi, changing the wifi channel, reseting the camera and as a last resort doing a factory reset.  But the problem was not the wifi or the camera itself - it was the 120v to 5v weatherproof power adapter that came with the camera.  It seems to have been gradually going bad and finally died last week.  It was in my attic so it did not get wet or damaged - just went bad.  I replaced it with a cheap 2.1 amp usb adapter and it's been working fine since then.  The adapter needs to be at least 1.4A.  So before going down the path of trying to fix your wifi (like I did) or doing a system reset (like I did), check the camera's LED status light.  It should be red, green or blue.  If it's completely off then your power adapter could be bad.
