New battery nest cam doesn’t record 24/7. Events are 3 hours long.

Hi, I have multiple problems with a new nest battery camera.

1. I cannot add it to my old nest app.
2. My event history is only 3 hours but I do have 6$ subscription.
3. I cannot just go back like on my old nest cameras and see recorded footage at anytime.

The battery camera is plugged in 24/7.

Does anyone else have this problem? Thanks.

Sadly the new cameras (including the doorbell battery) will not work with the old nest app.  This is a BIG mistake on Google part in my opinion.  I returned my new doorbell and went back to the old one because of this and many other limitations (like you can't view the new cameras on your computer from a browser).

But if  you have the Nest Aware you should be getting many days of history.   (Keep in mind even if you have the new doorbell wired to power you no longer have 24/7 recording. it only record motion events).  Another feature they took away.

Check this and see what it says:  in the GOOGLE HOME app go to view the new doorbell cam.  Click on the GEAR in the upper right corner and select VIDEO.  At the very top it should say 30-day (or 60-day) history if it is seeing the aware subscription.
