New camera not showing up in nest aware app

I just added an indoor camera (wireless), and it doesn’t show up in my nest aware app. I can only see it if I go to google home. How can I get it included in my nest subscription?

If you have a Nest Aware subscription and the new camera is in the same "home"/structure as your previous cameras, it should be included in your Nest Aware subscription.

However,  the new Google Nest cameras and doorbells  released starting in the fall of 2021 can be accessed ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website. Previous cameras' feeds can be viewed in the Google Home app, but their history and admin settings can ONLY be accessed in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.

We discovered all of this when we bought a Google Nest Camera (Battery) in September 2021; now we have to use 2 apps.

Google Nest has posted its rationale for this strategy--along with considerable customer reactions--in these posts in blogs in this forum:

I too have this problem.  Two other cameras appear on the Nest app, but not the recent indoor gen two cam.

Well, this just BITES. I have over a dozen cameras I've added over the years working flawlessly within the NEST app - all with 60 day event history for one reasonable price. I purchased a new wired (2nd gen) indoor camera and just discovered this thread when I was trying to find out why it wasn't showing up in NEST. Additionally, I'm sitting here looking at a Nest Cam Outdoor 2-pk I purchased (mfg date 11/30/21) wondering if I'll have the same experience with it...

You'd think that they'd make people aware of this "change", but then again - why should they... that might decrease sales, and we know that's the holy grail. Nevermind the customer experience or customer satisfaction. When you get this big, that no longer factors in apparently.

I've had frustrating experiences with my Pixel 6 Pro (relating to the Google Assistant) and also with Nest Paired Speakers (volume issues). I've posted to and/or started numerous threads about these issues - AND I MIGHT AS WELL BE YELLING AT THE WALL.
