New network / setting up Nest camera with floodlight

Community Member

New router and new network and want to use new network name. I removed camera from the Home app and unable to complete set up. I have tried factory reset numerous times including unplugging cable from camera. Each time I get the conformation chime after it resets. Green light is on solid on camera. I start at [+add new device] and get as far as connecting to camera, until it says "unable to connect to device, move closer". Even climbed ladder and held phone next to camera.

Any help much appreciated.

I figured out the problem. I wasn't holding the reset button long enough. You need to hold the button for at least 10 secs(not 5 secs like I was doing). I didn't time it, I just kept holding the button until the chime sounded. Then released and wait a few more secs and it'll chime again. Now the camera is ready to be set up again. Setup worked perfect the first time I tried. Be sure to open Google Home after setup to verify camera is present. It wasn't there the first time I opened Home. Closed it and opened it again and then the camera was there. So happy to have my camera back functioning!!

**Maybe this info will help someone else as I've noticed several posts in the past asking about the same problem I had, and no answer was given.
