I have a new wifi network. I needed to add the Google Doorbell to the wifi. I looked up how to do this and the instructions from Google said to delete the device and then add as a new device. So I deleted it but in order to add a new device I need to look on the back of the Google Doorbell for a code. The doorbell is already mounted on the doorbell, how do you work around this?

Unfortunately, you need either the QR code or the 6-character alphanumeric Setup Code printed above or below the QR code in order to install or reinstall Google Nest cameras and doorbells. We've written down all of our Setup Codes for just this reason.

I had the same issue. What worked for me to maintain the original Nest front door ring cam:
Set up the new network with the identical SSD (network name), AND the identical password to my original network.
Doing the above, I did not have to redo the Nest set up.

Hi everyone,
@woodskelly, thanks for reaching out to Community. I wanted to see if you still needed any help. Have you had any chance to try the suggestions above? If yes, how did it go?
You can check out this guide on how to change the camera and doorbell Wi-Fi network.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer and NetLola.
Keep me posted.
Best,
Lance
