Hello, I already have 2 older wired Nest cameras that I use on the fabulous Nest app, and I have the paid subscription for Nest Aware. on Friday I purchased & put up 3 new battery Nest cameras outside. Added the 3 to my google home app, fully charged, and set up what very easy. All alerts and notifications are turned on. (Except away from home toggle.) All working as should be, until 10:30 pm last night.
Since then I get no alert notifications and zero events are being recognized or recorded. I have tripled checked my settings everything same, batteries still charged, I can see live feed in my google Home app, but it says no events in the history. However, if I am in the app watching all the cameras it will show any events. But I can’t sit & watch the app all day.
My 2 older 2 cameras that are also in my Nest app are still sending notifications through the Nest app, but not through the home app also as they were yesterday. (Although, I really wish the 2 older cameras you could scroll through the history in the Google home app. I prefer only having to use 1 app for the google products)
I have searched solutions & tried all troubleshooting basics, but can’t resolve. At this point these are useless. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We've had a battery camera for over 2 years, plugged in with the optional power cable. In our experience, it is very poor at detecting events when running on battery power (and is therefore in "Idle" mode); if we unplug the camera and walk right in front of it, it does not detect or record that event.
By the way, our older 1st gen cameras and doorbells that are installed in the Google Nest app only send notifications through the Google Nest app. And in the Google Home app, while we can click on the ellipsis in the upper right corner and click "Full History" to see EVENTS for our 1st gen cameras, as you say, we cannot scroll through 24/7 history.

Thank you so much for reply. I called Nest customer service & they had me set up “new home” but it didn’t work.
So based on your extremely helpful experience (I had already read many of contributions on Nest Support)I need to buy the weather proof cables & make them wired.
Ugh, so much for not drilling holes.
& I agree with one of your other posts, the Google Home app needs to be as useful as the Nest App.
Google do better!

I'm just another customer sharing our experience about our camera performing very poorly when on battery power, but I have seen other posts indicating similar experiences.

Hello everyone,
@WhatGen1, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. How's it going? Were you able to purchase the cable and plug it to your Nest Camera? You may also try reinstalling your Nest app, Google Home app and Nest Cameras and monitor their behaviour. Let us know your update here.
I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.
Regards,
Emerson
