No alert or notification when 2nd gen doorbell is rung. No audible to iPhone with txt alert

2nd generation doorbell sends a txt when doorbell is rung but no audible announcement on my iphone

@Mojosworkin 

You should get the standard iPhone notification sound when the doorbell is rung, unless you've turned off sound for the Google Home app under iPhone "Notifications". You cannot configure the sound on an iPhone; on an Android phone you can.

Unfortunately I've seen literally thousands of users with this exact complaint... At least you know you're not alone... Good luck

Thanks Emerson, no resolution yet.  Just people who say they have the same issue. Visual alert works fine but nothing to let me know by audible notification. Hope you can give me a step by step fix for iPhone 13. John

@Mojosworkin, let’s check the permissions for the Google Home app on your iPhone.
