No audio in history since migration to google home

Subject spells out my issue clearly, I have no audio in history since migration to google home. Neither in events, or in 24/7 recording. (3) Nest indoor cams, (1) nest outdoor cam, (1) nest doorbell cam... all confirmed with microphone toggled ON and audio recording toggled ON. All confirmed st at 60-day event and 10-day 24/7. If I open any event, or even rewind the live camera a few seconds, I lose ALL audio. Audio works perfect in LIVE video.

Hi jay5gen,

Thanks for reaching out here in the community! I'm sorry to hear that you don't have audio in your Nest camera's event history, even though the microphone is on after migrating your Nest account to Google. Help's here!

I appreciate all the workarounds you've already tried. I understand that the audio works fine in the live video.

To further investigate this inconvenience, I'd like to ask the following:

  • What is the app that you’re not able to listen to some recording videos through the history? Is it the Google Home app, the Nest app, or both of them?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, I'd suggest trying the following steps:

  • Check if you have Audio Recording enabled. For instructions, refer to this article: Change Nest camera and doorbell audio settings.
  • If possible, try viewing the recording videos on a different mobile device or tablet to see if the issue is specific to your current device.
