No camera icon/won't turn on

Hi! Twice now I have removed and re-added this camera trying to fix. Issue is, even after reinstalling, there is no camera icon (to turn on/off device) and the message displayed says "device off/device unmounted".

It's also mounted.... help!

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry that even after adding the camera twice, the on/off option isn't showing, and you're still getting the "device off/device unmounted" message. I appreciate the effort you put into this situation. Help is here!

In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Open the Home app Google Home app.
  • Tap and hold your device's tile.
  • At the top right, tap Settings and then Device information and then Camera mount.
  • Select an option to change the type of mount you’re using.
