I used to get images on notifications when there was an alert. And just stopped happening. Reset phone, router and reinstalled nest, worked for a day then back to same problem.
It worked fine for over a year now this happening, and if the doorbell rings and I open the notification, by the time the stream has actually started the person has left!
Somethings been changed arohnd late last year to cause this issue.
Is there a fix?
I've seen other threads of someone saying the same issue and threads closed with no resolution.

Have you tried to restart your phone and your cam? I would try that and make sure that your wifi router is restarted as well. It could just mean that it needs to update and the restart may just do the trick for you. Restart the wifi router first, and then restart the other devices.
Best regards,
Brad.

I have had this problem for years. Some times the images comes in, most of the time they don't. Happens on 3 of my Galaxy Note phones. (Note 8,10,22) Everything reset. Reinstalled the ap, please help.

Yes still. Need help.
Reset everything many times, even reinstalling the nest doorbell, got image notifications for the first few times and then they're gone again.

Still the same issue.
Restarting phone and router does nothing, still. No notification images.
Wife's iPhone works great though with notification images.

👋hi!
I have a Samsung and the same issue with the images not showing with the notification. My husband has an iPhone and it works fine for him.
I've already tried resetting everything and the issues is still the same. Please assist it's very annoying and defeats the point of the camera.
Thanks!

I have a Samsung phone as well. The images worked fine with the notifications for about a year and a half until recently the images do not appear in notifications. I hope someone from Nest can help. Resetting devices and router in any order does not help to bring the operation back to how it used to originally

Hi SM4,
Thanks for trying to troubleshoot your camera notification. Let’s get this sorted — a few questions: is there a pending Android update? Is there enough memory on your phone storage? Also, is the Do Not Disturb setting off and the Background app refresh on in your phone settings?
Going over the steps here might help:
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
JT
