I have a couple of older nest cams that work well with the neat app in sending notifications. I recently purchased a new google nest cam. And I no it won’t show in the neat app so I’m trying to get all the push notifications to go through google home app but no luck. I’ve tried reinstalling the google home app, toggling the notifications on/off in google home app as well and nothing. Anything else I should try?

This has been a problem for over a year. The old cameras only work in the Nest app, and the new cameras only work in the Home app. And the Home app’s ability to write meaningful routines or connect to other apps like SmartThings is completely lacking. Do as I did and return your new Nest cameras and get old ones on eBay.

Currently, your older Google Nest cameras still get notifications through the Google Nest app (as configured there), while your newer camera gets notifications separately, through the Google Home app. (Yes, it's a 2-app solution.)
In the Google Home app, for your newer camera, you need to turn on "Push Notifications", and you also need to configure the events for which you wish to receive notifications, under Settings | Notifications and Settings | Events for the camera.
In announcements in this forum, Google Nest has announced upcoming upgrades to the Google Home app. Many of us customers are hoping this brings everything together into one app (the Google Home app), but this hasn't happened yet.

@Ricko17 we hear you and I'm sorry if you're having issues with your notifications. To know more about this, I'd like to ask some questions: Are you using the same email address for both Apps? Is the Airplane or Do Not Disturb mode turned off or on? Is this issue constant or intermittent? Hit this link for more steps.

The steps above did not work, I don’t think the old nest all supports newer cameras.

Currently, notifications for new Google Nest cameras and doorbells released starting in the fall of 2021 are configured in and come through the Google Home app, while notifications for all older Google Nest cameras and doorbells are configured in and come through the Google Nest app.
