No notifications to my iPhone from my newer Google cameras

I have two older outdoor Nest Cams, an older Nest doorbell camera, and an older Nest IQ cam.  I migrated from Nest to Google Home as soon as that was an option.   Throughout my ownership of the older cameras, during the pre-Google Home days and during the Google Home days, I've always received notifications on my iPhone 7+ from the older cameras.  In the last couple of years, I have added two Google Nest cams (these are solar powered), and two Google Nest Cams with Floodlights.  Despite having appropriately set every Notifications setting in Google Home and on my iPhone, I get no notifications from these newer cameras.   (The newer cameras don't even show up in the Nest application; all the cameras show up in the Google Home application.)

My wife has an iPhone 11.  She gets all the notifications on the newer cameras but none from the older cameras.

What's going on here?  Does anyone else have a similar problem?  Can I fix this?

The newer cameras don't show up in the Google Nest app because Google Nest decided that its newer cameras and doorbells would work ONLY in the Google Home app.

We migrated from a Nest Account to a Google Account a couple of years ago and have both newer and older cameras; we get notifications on both iPhones from all of our cameras and doorbells.

You could try deleting and reinstalling the Google Home app on your iPhone, and your wife could try deleting and reinstalling the Google Nest app on her iPhone (since notifications from the older cameras come from the Google Nest app).

Deleting and reinstalling the Google Home app sounds really scary.  Wouldn't I have to re-find each camera individually in Google Home?  I don't have the QR codes for some of them.  Plus I'd have to re-establish the relationship between Google Home and SmartThings.   Might there be something else to try?

You just delete the Google Home app, and then go to the Apple App Store and re-install the Google Home app. Then open the Google Home app and log back onto the app with the same Google Account you were using previously and all of your settings and devices are still there. I deleted and reinstalled the Google Nest app last year when I quit getting doorbell notifications and couldn't resolve it otherwise. It took just a few minutes.

Thank you so much!  I'll give it a try and let you know how it went.

Your solution worked!  Thanks so very much for helping me fix a long-standing and befuddling (to me, anyway) problem!
