Not getting notifications after transferring doorbell from Nest app to Home app

I was prompted to move the nest doorbell from the nest app to the home app. Once I did this, my wife is unable to get notifications anymore. In the nest app, if she goes to settings->notifications->Camera notifications->doorbell camera, there is nothing under notifications. If I do the same thing. I see that I can enable push notifications and can set the notifications for the zones.

If she goes to settings under the doorbell camera, she only has Device Information, Doorbell and Audio. When I go to the settings I see Device Information, Notifications, Events, Doorbell, Video, Audio.

Wen we moved back to the Nest app, we both started to get notifications again. I tried removing her from our home and then transferred back to the Home app with the same results.

When we are on the nest app, it is now half baked since we can't see notifications in the nest app anymore and is hard to use

I figured out what was going on... I was on the public preview and my wife wasn't. She joined the public preview, and now is getting notifications after they were enabled.

If you've transferred it back to the Nest app, you'll need to set up notifications in the Nest app again unfortunately. They won't be imported from the Home app.

I transferred it back to the nest app. I get notifications, but my wife doesn't. There is no way for her to enable them either

None of them helped, it only works again if I go back to the nest app.

I'm so sorry that your Nest Doorbell (wired) is not sending notifications to your wife's device after you transferred the doorbell from the Nest app to the Google Home app. Don't worry; I'm here to help!

 

I just have a quick question for you. Are you or your wife part of the Public Preview for the Google Home app?

 

If the primary user (owner of the devices) is in the Public Preview, it's recommended that all family members with access to the devices in the Google Home app join the Public Preview. This will ensure everyone has access to all features (including notifications).
