Hello,
I have two Nest cameras, a Nest Cam Indoor and an older black one. I used to always get timely notifications when our dog barked close to any of the cameras, but for at least three months, I have stopped receiving push notifications from the Nest app.
When I turn on "email" notifications, I get emails, so the notifications and the camera's itself work fine. Next to that, my girlfriend has the Nest app and also an Android (both Pixel) and she gets notifications for the same cameras just fine (we share the Home in the Nest app).
We also have a Nest Doorbell 2nd gen, and I receive those notifications on the Google Home app just fine.
What I tried:
- In the app, turn off all notifications, and turn them back on. Tried this multiple times, in different orders.
- Logged out and in, cleared the storage of the app, and reinstalled the app a couple of times.
- Made sure all notifications are allowed, it has all the access. And notification in general work fine (for example the Google Home Doorbell app)
I even tried to log out and back in on the Google Home app and clear the storage of that app.
Note: I have a Pixel 8 Pro. We do watch the cameras in Google Home also sometimes, but unfortunately Google Home doesn't do bark detection (at least for those cameras).
I feel like I have tried everything; it just doesn't work (except for a phone re-install, but that feels excessive). So I hope somebody has an idea of something I can still try! Otherwise, I'll have to abandon the Nest cameras and start looking for something else.

I just saw this post from yesterday, which seems to have the same issue https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Cameras-and-Doorbells/Not-receiving-notifications-cameras/td-.... I am not sure, but it might for me also have been since I have the Pixel 8, not sure though.

Some people have reported this works.
#1 Log out of the Nest App (make sure you know your password).
#2 Remove the app from your phone (you should not loose anything by doing this)
#3 Then do full power down of your phone and wait about 60 seconds and turn it back on.
#4 power up the phone and re-download the app and sign in and then see if it works.

I just tried this, but unfortunately that didn't help 😞 Any more tips are welcome, want to try it all (except for factory resetting my phone).

Oh man,,, I wouldn't factory reset your phone. That can just bring on a world of other problems.

If this doesn't work then I think the next step is to open an official support ticket so that you can speak with an actual google tech person. Here is the link if you need to go that route...
