I have had my doorbell for a few months and recently noticed a delay when someone rings the doorbell. It takes 15 to 20 seconds for the doorbell to ring when someone presses the doorbell. When my son comes in the house there's a delay in that as well. He is down the hall before i receive a notification. Main reason i had this installed was for porch pirates. They will be gone before it gives me a notification. Looking through the Forum or online, I am seeing this is a widespread issue. Has there been any thing done to rectify this issue?

I have had the nest HELLO doorbell for years and as long as I can remember people have been complaining about this delay. I generally have anywhere from 3-7 delay from the moment someone hits the button on the doorbell until it alerts to my phone.
You might want to try talking to a Google Nest Tech person and see if there is anything they can adjust in the back-end to make it fast. You can open a support ticket here on this link (below) and after you can answer the questions you can either do an on-line chat or have a phone call.
If you find the answer please return here and let us know what they said or did.

Hi folks,
LT2, thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on. Do you receive push notifications on multiple devices? How about email notifications? Are you not getting them either?
Could you try to connect the mobile device to another Wi-Fi or cellular network? Signing in to your account on another mobile device and triggering a notification to test might also help isolate this.
Regards,
Juni
