I realize this has been asked before, but the moderators keep closing the threads without understanding the point.
I am asking for a new feature, to only receive a "person" detection if the face is an unfamiliar one that I haven't identified previously in the app.
The use case is, I don't need a notification every time I approach my front door. Nor do I need a notification for anyone of my household being detected. These are all people I expect and there is no cause for alarm.
However, if there is a stranger at my front door, I want to be notified. This way I can be alerted if a delivery person is dropping something off, a burglar is attempting a break-in, etc.
Currently my only option is to enable person detection for everyone, including familiar faces. This causes too many notifications for me as walk around my own property, and causes alarm fatigue. I want a way to enable person detection but only for unfamiliar faces, that way I'm only receiving a notification for a events I actually care about.
