My outside, plug in camera does not work (off line) all the time. It will work when it is raining or people walk by. There must be a setting I screwed up with but have no idea what it is?

When you say your camera is working only when it is raining or people walk by, is this because that's all you see in your camera's history? (If you have a Nest Aware subscription, you get 30 days of event video history but you don't get 24/7 continuous history.) If you bring up your Google Nest Outdoor Camera in the Google Nest app, do you get a live view only when it is raining or people walk by? What view do you get if you bring up your camera in the Google Nest app at other times?

Sorry I have not replied. I have been traveling. I will try to explain in a nonprofessional statement. I have a inside camera that stays on all the time unless I turn it off (this was my first nest camera). I purchased the outside camera for a previous email house and it worked all the time unless I turned it off. I move to a new house and hooked up the outside camera. But, it does not work as it did in the old house. It shows off line most of the time unless it is raining. I do get video of previous things happening in the yard but no live coverage. When I am away I want to be able to see live coverage when I look at my computer. I am wondering if I have it set up that way but I cannot find anything in the instructions that would show me how to correct.

It sounds like you may not have connected the camera to the Wi-Fi or connection that you have at this new house. I would look into possibly factory resetting the device, or restarting it and connecting it to your Wi-Fi network at your new home. If you do have it connected, then I would still suggest you factory reset the camera. You can learn all about a factory reset or restart here.
Best regards,
Brad

Having your camera online and "Live" only when it is raining makes no sense at all. Is it by any chance possible that you have a poor connection in the power adapter and you get a connection only when it gets wet while it's raining?
You could unplug the power adapter, check for corrosion, and thoroughly clean and reseat the cable connection.
(The power adapters for our Google Nest Outdoor Cameras are inside our garage, so they never get exposed to the elements.)
