Poor signal quality for 2 of my outdoor cameras.  Can I force them on to the 2.4 network?

Cannot relocate router.

Or, would you recommend a simple plug in signal amplifier / extender.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Your Nest Camera might disconnect when it's slightly out of range of your Wi-Fi. It can also disconnect due to wireless interference from large furniture and appliances, walls and floors, and other electronics.

Moving these things around a little bit can make a big difference. I would recommend using the 2.4ghz connection if they are far from the router. You can also try using a network extender and move it closer to your Nest Cameras. Check this article on how to Troubleshoot offline Nest camera or doorbell for basic steps.

Steve
