Problems connecting my Nest camera's to WiFi

Valerios

I have 3 second generation Nest Google wired indoor cameras that have always worked well. I had to change my router. I was no longer able to connect my 3 Nest Google cameras. According to the instructions I uninstalled the cameras. When I try to install again in the last step, the light on the camera never turns blue, according to the instructions, and the app does not recognize the camera. What should I do?

Hello Valerios,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. When connecting your Nest Cameras to a new Wi-Fi network, it will require you to reset them to the factory default. After a proper reset, they should have a pulsing blue light indicating that they're ready to connect.

To reset:

  1. Locate the reset hole on the bottom of your Nest Camera head. It’s between the power cord and the camera neck.
  2. Insert a paper clip, thumbtack or similar into the hole. Press and hold down.
  • At 10 seconds, the status light will blink yellow four times, and you’ll hear a countdown tone.
  • At 12 seconds, the status light will be solid yellow. When the camera begins resetting, you’ll hear a confirmation tone.

       3. Release the button. Your Nest Camera will restore to its factory settings.

       4. After the factory reset, your Nest Camera will appear as “Offline” in the app until you remove it.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,

Emerson
