Problems with Nest Aware and Phase Out of Older Cameras

BPrice46

I converted my old Nest Cameras to Nest Aware.  The old cameras ceased to be supported at midnight last night as I was informed.  Now my problems are:

1.  The old cameras are still listed along with my new cameras on the Nest Home App on my phone.  I cannot find information in the Home app to delete the old cameras.  Looking for simple step-by-step instructions.

2.  I saved a video clip on April 4th from the camera in a room in the back and upstairs of our home.  It is listed as being recorded on the camera in the front on the lower level of our home.

I cannot find information on how to correct this.  I cannot find a tech support phone number for help.

I have been a Nest camera user for 5-6 years.  Not happy with many of the changes.  If I cannot resolve these issues soon, I have no choice but to seek a different solution.

The only Google Nest cameras that ceased to be supported today (April 8th) are Dropcams (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Final-Reminder-Support-for-Dropcam-Dropcam-Pro-and-Nest-...).

There is no such thing as "converting old Nest Cameras to Nest Aware".  Nest Aware is a subscription service.

You may have migrated a Nest Account to a Google Account; we did so in 2020, and we continue to use the Google Nest app for our 1st gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells, but we can also see them in the Google Home app (with some functionality). See this post on migration: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9297676.

It's also possible to discontinue 1st gen Nest Aware subscriptions (which are priced per camera) in favor of a 2nd gen Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription, which have been available since 2019 and cover ALL 1st and 2nd gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure". See this post on pricing of subscriptions: https://store.google.com/product/nest_aware?hl=en-US&modal=upgrade-pricing

It is also possible to "transfer" specific 1st gen Google Nest cameras (not doorbells) from the Google Nest app to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app. See this post: https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Nest-Cam-Outdoor-1st-gen-expanded-support-rolling-out-in....

I don't know why a saved video clip would show as being recorded on a different camera.

To contact Support:

1. Go to https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp.
2. Select a category/product family, and type in a brief description of the issue, then click "Next".
3. Click "Other", then click "Next step".
4. Under "Resources", just click "Next step". (Clicking one of the listed links will bring up a Help page page.)
5. Under "Contact options", choose to get a phone call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Thank you for your assistance and detailed links pertinent to my issues.  I was able to remove the older cameras from the Google Home app.  I had been working on that for nearly 2 weeks.

The issue of video clips being assigned to the wrong camera is still happening and I will need to have direct contact with Google Nest support.
