We're trying to get this whole Nest Cam thing working to our satisfaction, and it's been a struggle.
What's happening now is that every (exactly) five minutes one of the cameras was recording "motion activity" even though it's turned off. Plugged in, but turned off because we're home.
Looking at the activity log, this behavior started three days ago after we'd arrived home and the home routine was started. Needless to say, the home routine consisted solely of "turn the cameras off". From that point on, every five minutes there's a "motion event" (with no imagery) until we left home today and set the status to Away--the presence detection didn't work so I transitioned it manually.
Upon returning home again the "motion events" have stopped.
Just wondering what was going on?

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I’d like to confirm, what is the light status of your Nest Camera? Are you using the home and away assist feature? What kind of motion is your Nest Camera detecting every five minutes? Try restarting your Nest Camera and WiFi router. Let us know your update here
