I set up building A with camera O and camera I.
I attempted to set up building B with camera J. Since I had existing cameras, the Google Home app wanted to use the existing cameras to "assist" the new cameras. However, since the existing cameras (O, I) are physically too far from building B, the cameras or app could not detect wifi network W or cameras O or I. Each setup attempt would time out and fail. (This was slow and painful, as you have to wait 3-5 minutes for it to time out).
Eventually, I created a second "home" in the Google Home app and set up camera J on wifi network X.
However, because a Nest Aware subscription only covers one "home," the new camera is not included in the subscription.
Google, please fix this:

Yeah unfortunately, there is no feature or setting to turn off the Wifi assistance feature you describe, and the only workaround is to setup devices in different homes, but that then causes problems for Nest Aware.
I'd encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google.
