Does anyone know the dimension of the small setscrew that is used to secure the second gen nest wired camera to the wall mounting plate?
Somehow mine came out. None of the forum posts have any information. Everyone keeps saying it's an M3. It is *not* an M3. I am holding an M3 hex screw and that is far too big.

Don't bother filling out the form. Nothing will change. Nobody will ever reply to you. All that happens is some fleshbot will parrot the same incorrect answers.
Nobody knows, nobody has any information, and you'll never find a replacement for the screw.
My only advice is to not buy Google products because the support is so bad.

Hello Moo,
Thanks for posting here in the Community. We don't have the exact dimensions for the screw in the Nest Cam Indoor, but did you lose all three screws in the box? If not, you can just bring one of the screws to a hardware store and look for the same size.
I look forward to your response.
Thanks,

This is not a common hardware store item. Its a speciality piece. It will not be carried at a hardware store.

I am having this same issue. There are not 3 screws in the box. There is only one set screw that goes in on the top of the unit and it is extremely small. If this piece is lost because it comes out it is not possible to take it to a store to look for the same size. The socket size seems to be 3/32 but we also need the screw type, screw length and thread size to safely install this without doing damage to the device.
What are the specifications/dimensions for the security hex screw?
