Setting a schedule for Nest Cam in the Google Home app

I'm seeing posts complaining that you can't set an on/off schedule for 2nd gen Nest Cameras from back in October 2021, and can't seem to find an indication from Google that they have any intention of fixing it. This is REALLY basic stuff -- so basic that I didn't bother researching it before spending $500+ on new cameras... I guess I figured that if my 6 year old Nest thermostat can follow a weekly schedule then SURELY these brand new security cameras from the same family of products would be able to also. SURELY. Silly me, making assumptions.

So Google Reps --- what is the plan to address this? 99% of users on here want their security cameras to turn on at specific times of day in addition to when no one is home. Where is the release schedule for a daily scheduling feature in the Google Home app?

I'm just another customer, but I don't believe Google Nest has made any commitment to restoring the scheduling feature for its newer Google Nest cameras. Google Nest Vice President's Sept. 29, 2021 post said "we are committed to bringing the experiences and Nest devices you have come to love in the Nest app into the Home app. This will take time to get right, and we will continue to share more details as we have updates", we "will continue to make improvements to advance the camera experience in the Home app", and "we commit to being more transparent with you on where we are taking the camera portfolio". (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Message-from-our-GM-Updates-for-our-Nest-customers/ba-p/...)  I have seen no update whatsoever since then.
