Soooo. No updates to resolve lost cam features?

The new outdoor camera is garbage. I picked up the two-pack because I was looking to cut down on running wires, only to find out I can't add them to the Nest app. Using the Home app crippled the cameras. You lose all the features. Am I missing something because I don't see where I can manage or create my clips for the outdoor cameras? Once my Gen1 cams die, or they kill the Nest app, I'm switching to RING or Arlo.

Oh, one other funny note. Every similar post I've seen was quickly locked out so no one can reply with their situation.
Nice Google.

The new Google Nest cameras and doorbells lack functionality because they work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app.

This Sept. 29, 2021 post by Google Nest's Vice President has vague promises about addressing the deficiencies in 2022, but there has been no update since:

You are spot on with the disappointment in this product.  I returned mine within the 1st week and ended up buying used Gen 1 NEST cams on ebay and I'm a happy camper.   The new Nest Doorbell (Battery) might be an even bigger blunder in technological history than Windows 8  (just my opinion).  I have never seen a new product release with SO MANY steps backwards.
