Stolen / missing NEST cam

CameraNewbie
Community Member

Hi Everyone. I have a 3 outdoor camera NEST setup. One of the cameras triggered last week when an intruder attempted to break in. He spotted the camera, ripped it down and made off. I have good footage which I've supplied to the Police. The missing camera keeps flipping between 'greyed out' and bold in the Google Home App. It also flips between 'Offline' and 'please remount the camera' . Does this mean the camera is still within WiFi range? I can also see the battery power slowly decreasing in the App. Any help much appreciated. I have searched everywhere for the camera thinking he may have thrown it?

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response, and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I understand how upsetting this may be, and I'm happy to assist you with this. Here is a great article that goes over what to do if your camera or doorbell has been stolen. If your device is not one of the listed devices, please fill out this support form, and a higher tier of support will reach out to you for further assistance.

Best regards,
Brad

Hi, I am awaiting a copy of the Police report as required by the form. UK Police require you to apply in writing under a freedom of information request. Complete pain, awaiting a response.
