TURNING CAMERAS OFF

EJ1968

Can I be the only one person in the home who otherwise has full access to be allowed to turn cameras OFF?

OR can I receive notifications when someone else in the home turns cameras off?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, Google Nest gives all household members full access, and it does NOT provide any notification when a household member turns off a camera.

Thanks I think this stinks. What a serious product limitation that effects the security of the home. I should be able to know when other members of the home are hiding something they don't want others in the home (like parents or landlords) to know what they are up to or who enters the home!!!  At least the upgraded product should offer it. This is a simple addition to Notifications. I dont understand it must be intentional decision that demands an explanation.

Hello everyone,

@EJ1968, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. We appreciate your interest however, we don't have any news to share about applying this feature to the Nest app or Google Home app. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this link to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Thanks,

Emerson
