Hi all,
I’ve seen multiple posts on this topic so I’m not hopeful there will be a fix or admission from Google of a fundamental product issue, but here goes….
We receive terrible latency from the time the doorbell is physically pressed to the notification on both the Google pebbles and our IOS apps.
I have ~60+ MBPS broadband, with a full google mesh WiFi network (4x hubs) providing excellent coverage across my property. The wired doorbell is within 10Ft of on of the mesh hubs.
And yes, I have tried many times to reboot all systems.
It also seems to take ages to search and view historical footage. Very clunky user experience.
I’m reaching the end of my patience so considering swapping for Amazon Ring, unless anyone has any ideas on potential fixes?
Thanks,

Hello everyone,
Thank you for posting and sharing your efforts to resolve your concern. I apologize that the Nest device isn’t working properly.
A few questions: are you using an Android or iOS device? Does it happen on multiple devices? Have you tried switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data? Was the event detected and recorded in the event history?
Let’s try the steps below (trigger a notification after each step):
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Lance
