The worst thing that happened to Nest was being bought by Google

That Google calls this a "Nest" cam is criminal and they should be held legally liable for false advertisement. How can you name it a Nest cam when it is not compatible with Nest app? What genius thought of that? With the cameras not working with the Nest app and thus returning customers' Nest cameras there is no incentive to purchase these cameras, as the Home app is far too inferior. These cameras are not the best, nor the cheapest, thus the only real reason to get them is to have them match the ecosystem of the Nest app, which is so beautifully and convenient Google has just taken Nest to the glue factory and doesn't even realize it. So sad.

I hate that too. That's one of the big reasons that I'm contemplating on buying this camera. 🤔

Don't buy it.  Period.  Find a developer willing to support their community. Google isn't it.
