Try Moving closer to your Nest Doorbell (battery)

Worthwhilewords

I had to change my router settings temporarily, and upon changing them back the Nest wireless doorbell would not connect.

Attempted the steps from previous threads and other advice I've seen around -

Factory resetting

Connecting with a different guest home

Connecting with a different google account

Using a different phone and tablet

Removed other Google products inc a nest hub

And none of this is working. I still get stuck on the "Try Moving closer to your Nest Doorbell (battery)" message.

Any help or suggestions would be massively appreciated

Hi Worthwhilewords,

Thanks for taking some steps beforehand — these are of great help! Let’s see what’s going on. How far is the doorbell from the router? What’s the make and model of your phone? Are there devices or appliances (such as baby monitors, microwaves, cordless phones, etc.) near the doorbell? Also, what Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

JT
