I just bought the latest nest camera, the activation of the device is complete via the google home, but I am unable to add the new camera to the nest app, the new wireless camera doesn’t have a 6 digit code on its mounting plate, any suggestions?

Yes, the new cameras are not supported by the NEST app. This is a huge tragedy . If you read thru this website you will see 100's of people are upset and have returned the new cameras. Not only do they not work in the NEST app there is no way to view them in your computer's browser.

Pray for a new vendor of a similar service. Nest camera is now false advertising as they are only Google Home cameras.

At this time, there is no official word on the battery nest doorbell working with the Nest app. Sorry about that.

As it stands, the new battery cameras are setup and managed solely in the Google Home app. Google has committed to improving this experience, so I very much doubt you'll see Google Nest app support for these cameras. This is a mostly a user to user community, therefore if this is important to you, I’d encourage you to also send this feedback directly to Google. You will not receive a response, unless Google need more details from you, however the team are still reading the feedback.

Great.... glad they committed to improving the user experience, just like they committed to remain in the security camera business when they killed the old outdoor cam in January. So will we wait 9 months for an improved user experience, or do I sent this back and go to another vendor who already has an improved user experience?

Just wanted to hop in here and make sure you had seen the previous responses by MrVacca and davidking, as unfortunately the cams only work with the Google Home app. I'm happy to take this feedback and pass it along to our other teams though as we are always wanting to improve on our products and services.
