Video Doorbell Clip Download

I need to download clips from the 24/7 coverage (not just pretagged events) on my wired video doorbell with nest aware subscription. I also need a time and date stamp on the clip. #FeatureRequest #Feedback

Sadly you can do that on the old Gen 1 Nest cameras but not on the new Gen 2 cameras that use the Google Home app.  However there is a solution but it isn't very elegant.  Put your phone into SCREEN RECORD mode (easy on an iPhone) and then return to the Google Home App and Play the portion of the clip you need.  Then stop the recording and it should be in your Photo's as a video file.   I'm sure there is a way to do it on phones other than iPhones I just don't know how.
