When somebody rings our doorbell they can hardly hear us and we can't hear them even with the setting being set on maximum, very frustrating.
Is there any suggestions on how to improve it?

I see where other people have reported this problem but it seems to be related to Android phones and not iPhones. I think your best bet is to contact Google Nest Support and talk to an actual Google technician. Here is a link to get you going.
