WIRED Nest Cam with Floodlight NOT showing in NEST HOME on PC and CAN'T CREATE SHARING LINK

I just installed a hard-wired Nest Cam w/ Floodlight, and successfully added it on my WiFi Mesh network, along with my other Nest devices. All is working well with the Nest "HOME" ap on my android phone, but this camera is NOT showing up in the "Old Nest" ap on my phone. More importantly, this camera is NOT showing up on PC web page... https://home.nest.com/. I SPECIFICALLY chose/purchased and installed this setup for our small Condo Association with the intent of creating the web url password protected sharing link. VERY disappointing... It appears this hard-wired combo flood/cam is NOT sharable?? Please Advise...

Unfortunately, Google Nest decided that its newer cameras and doorbells released starting in 2021 would work ONLY in the Google Home app and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website. And because they work ONLY in the Google Home app, you cannot share a link to the camera's feed as you can with older cameras in the Google Nest app. The only way to share the newer cameras is to make someone a member of your Google Nest "household" and give them complete access to everything. We discovered this to our surprise when we added a Google Nest Camera (Battery) in Sept. 2021.

This is Google Nest's justification, published in Sept. 2021:

oK then.. Thanks for your very informative reply. Thankfully, my "workaround" solution, was to delete the new floodlight cam device from my personal Nest Home, and create a New Home, alias Condo bla bla bla... Added "People in this home", +Invite person... All is good! The other unit owners have access!

@BrianVonRaschk

If you have a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription on your personal Google Nest "home", it won't cover your floodlight camera, since you need a separate Nest Aware subscription for each "home".

Hi there,

Thank you for your feedback on this, I fully understand the frustrations of not having your new Nest cams in the Nest app like you may be used too. However, you can now use the Google Home web app to view your cameras and doorbells.

The new Nest cameras and doorbell are exclusive to the home app because we wanted to create an integrated experience with your speakers and displays. A Nest Aware subscription applies to all of your cameras, speakers, and displays in the same home structure. Thank you for your continued patience, and support.

Best regards,

Brad
